She is an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham, Senior Fellow of the University of Southampton and a Senior Medical Director in Research & Innovation for Danone Nutricia.
As an academic clinician, Rebecca co-created the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) and has played an active role in chairing the National Malnutrition Action Group of the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) and overseeing the UK Malnutrition Awareness Week Nutrition Surveys over the past 5 years.
She was recently awarded the John Lennard Jones Medal for outstanding work in Clinical Nutrition by BAPEN. Rebecca is a faculty member of ESPEN, the European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism.
Rebecca continues to lead an extensive research programme, including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, to further investigate and develop the evidence base for the use of medical nutrition, always aiming to improve the management of disease-related malnutrition to benefit patient care and clinical and economic outcomes.
